Special event tastings of fine spirits for business and social gatherings
Discover the World of Whiskey, One Sip at a Time
Embrace the rich tradition of whiskey culture, where whiskey appreciation is an art.
I am Jeff Horner, a whiskey enthusiast and story teller. I introduce people to the features and characteristics of whiskey by holding special event whiskey tastings.
I have diplomas from the Edinburgh Whiskey Academy in Single Malt Scotch and the Art of Tasting Whiskey and I went to Moonshine University to become an Executive Bourbon Steward in the Stave and Thief Society.

Tasting whiskey is a lot more than simply taking a big gulp, swallowing it, and exclaiming that it, “sure is smooth”.
If you want to learn how to “taste” whiskey, you need to drink it a little slower than you’re probably used to.
These tastings are ideal for enthusiasts and curious newcomers. My aim is to reeducate your nose and palate to appreciate the nuances of whiskey.

Whiskey, Bourbon, Scotch – what’s the difference?
All Bourbon is Whiskey and all Scotch is Whiskey, BUT not all Whiskey is Scotch or Bourbon. Irish Whiskey is different. Japanese Whiskey is different. Canadian Whiskey is different.
Every step in the distilling process will influence the final taste and aroma of the Whiskey.

If you want to taste whiskey like a professional, then learn the way distillers, blenders, and bartenders do.
Attend a Whiskey tasting class.
It is actually a lot of fun. You’ll be really happy that you learned how to discern different notes in Whiskey and you can even wow your friends when you explain the intricate aromas and flavors of their favorite whiskies.

"Being a knowledgeable wine person and not very familiar with scotch, I attended Jeff's beginner scotch tasting class with the hope of expanding my knowledge of scotch/whiskey. The tasting was very organized with handouts provided for each scotch, as well as food pairings that helped bring out how scotch can enhance food and vice-versa. I would very highly recommend anyone interested in learning more about scotch/whiskey tasting to attend one of Jeff's classes!" ~David B.
